OnePlus began in 2024, and the company announced two fantastic smartphones in OnEplus 12 and 12R. This was closely followed by the launch of the famous Oneplus Open Foldable in late 2023. Now I came back to release again OnePlus Watch 2.
How is this wonderful new clock accumulating for competition? We will jump into it in this entire review.
design
Overall, Oneplus Watch 2 does not actually break new horizons. If you have recently used Samsung or Wear OS Watch, it can be mixed with a mix. But Fit and Finish is actually done by Oneplus. The 1.43 -inch round sapphire face is dissolved in the stainless steel case. As soon as you take it out of the box, scream the premium watch quality.
It is durable. OnePlus put WATCH 2 through a test battery to obtain MIL-STD-810H, 5 ATM and IP6 environmental certification. This is possible in strict outdoor conditions, shocks and flooding.
On the right side of the OnePlus Watch 2, there are only two buttons. The top is sent home from the software with a single press and doubles the recent app. The bottom button shows the exercise menu with a single press and starts the Google wallet with a quick double press. The rest of the input is carried out through the touch screen. The screen is a good response and a very bright 1000 knit and a 60MHz refresh ratio. Flowing through the menu and screen should not be a problem.
OnePlus Watch 2 provides a standard 22mm silicone bracelet. These are suitable for those who can immediately find flare in Amazon and add color -weir options to Watch 2. The official band is comfortable and has a trim that covers the same mount point as the Galaxy watch.
It is also a thick rubber that must be used a lot before replacing if you don’t care about the standard black color. One of the last memo of the band is due to dark colors and materials. Lint and dust are very easy. This is not a trading breaker in any way, but it is necessary to mention the OnePlus Watch 2 basic band.
Double chipset
One of the main distinction between OnePlus is that Watch 2 offers a dual chipset to supply power to the Wear OS experience. In fact, the low -power BES2700 chip does a lot of refresh every day, even if you call more hungry wear OS without waking SnapDragon W5.
Basically, the BES2700 is a built -in floor that processes notifications, sleeping and fitness steps without supplying power to more batter -intensive SnapDragon W5. This allows these mental tasks to be synchronized with the ONEPLUS OHALTH app so that they can share the data with the Wear OS, but not always calling a more intense system.
This is a great line here and an interesting hybrid provided by OnePlus. OnePlus Watch 2 promises to allow better performance and endurance. And when you need OS and all great apps in the Google Play Store, you are all there and are ready to take action.
Performance
But what does it mean to the end user? You asked. I knew that the general performance was dull. And I found that the double system ultimately not noticeable. Wear OS users may not have known the difference except to use the ONEPLUS NEW OHALTH app. It is worth mentioning that at the time of launch, you cannot directly synchronize OnePlus Watch 2 with the Wear OS app. Instead, you need to use the ohealth app.
The ohealth app is very powerful, and for this, I tested it and the function is the same. If you use and use Apple Watch, you can find something familiar. There is a very extensive layout for a new watch face, notification control and general settings. Default OHELTH Home Screen is also a dashboard for biometric recognition, such as health goals, heart rate and recovery.
Also, at the time of this review, I think there are some patches to make this work perfect for the ONEPLUS engineer. I still don’t get any notifications that properly reflect my cell phone in my Watch 2. My guess is that a specific app is not great with dual system handoffs to wake up notifications. GMAIL is one of the larger culprit of this, but the great team of OnePlus is in more hands and has an update to solve it.
battery
One appointment of a true ring is battery life than other wear OS clocks. The company promised up to 100 hours of actual usage and found it. OnePlus Watch 2 packs a 500mAh battery to allow this endurance. I use a mixed smartphone and exercise for an average of 4 days. I have never seen this by a smartwatch manufacturer other than Garmin.
Kudos for OnePlus when it nails this feature. Battery life is one of the main pain points of the latest connective clock. Many people barely last a day and reach the charger every evening. This kills one of the main sales points of sleep tracking. If the data is missing due to charging, the entire value of the purchase will not be obtained.
If you need to charge, the box contains a USB-C power charger in the box. WATCH 2 is available for 5V/2A output of 10 watts. This charges one of the fastest watches I saw in most of the latest USB-C wall adapters. Apple Watch Series 9 can be charged 20W, but swears faster to return to 100 %every hour.
conclusion
OnePlus is always pushing the envelope of envelopes that can be produced by Google’s software ecosystem. Original Oneplus Phone and it is a “flagship killer” monizer, and until the recent open, the company is on the edge of something outside. Legacy continued with OnePlus Watch 2, and this new hybrid chipset offers a very attractive experience.
