Whatsapp uses new personal information protection features found in the latest beta builds for Android. This will be developed for a long time, so do not expect to get it immediately.

In general, Whatsapp automatically offers all media items from your phone. However, if this is implemented, there is an option to prevent others from doing so, as you can see in the screenshot above.
This is already applied to the disappearing message. The new bit here is that it can be set for general messages and related media. This feature also restricts the export of the full chat history for the user who enabled this new setting and the chat. But this does not interfere with message delivery.
Also, if you activate this “advanced chat personal information”, the participants who participate in the chat will not be able to use Meta AI in any way. Of course, Whatsapp can add more things to this function during development. Anyway, when it is released for everyone, it will be an opt in.
